How it works
A loading metre (LDM) is one metre of trailer floor length across the full 2.4 m width. Formula: (length m × width m × qty) / 2.4. A Euro pallet (1.2 × 0.8 m) is about 0.4 LDM; a full curtainsider is 13.6 LDM.
FAQ
- What is a loading metre (LDM)?
- One metre of trailer floor length across the full 2.4 m width. LTL (part-load) freight is often priced per LDM.
- How many LDM fit in a curtainsider?

- Does it account for stacking?
- This calculator assumes non-stackable goods. If your load can be stacked, the real LDM will be lower.
