FAS: the seller places the goods alongside the vessel at the port of shipment; from there the buyer takes over. Sea only.

Where risk passes
Risk passes when the goods are placed alongside the ship.
When to use it
For bulk or oversized cargo at a sea port.
Common mistake
Using FAS for containers - FCA fits them instead.
